PESEC’s domain will be Beyond Curriculum Programs. It seeks to have a twin focus: An Internal Focus with which it serves the Claretine population, both staff and students, and an External Outreach Focus with which it serves the population outside college – teachers, students, officers, youth, adults, etc. Its Motto is: “Towards the Excellence of the Masses.” PESEC will also award a Certificate of Merit/ Participation to those individuals who complete some select programs successfully. 

Aims & Objectives of PESEC
1.    Motto: “Towards the Excellence of the Masses.”   Helping people move from being average to excellence – in life and work – is the goal.
2.    To educate students in life-enhancing values and build their core competencies and soft skills.  
3.    To train students in the art and science of excelling in studies and examinations. 
4.    To help students discover their aptitudes and interests and provide career-relevant skills.   
5.    To empower the teachers with a sense of Mission, teaching skills, and leadership qualities. 
6.    To train the public, especially the youth, in leadership and public service skills.
7.    To be an effective instrument for the transformation of the self and society.

CASA with its motto, “That They May Have Life,” focuses on training students in the art of a life of caring and giving to society and her differentially-abled children. Social service activities, undertaking public works, visit and free service to hospitals, etc., are arranged to facilitate service-mindedness.

SCALE with its motto, “The Measure of Excellence”, seeks to introduce programs and competitions that will inspire, tap, and nourish the artistic, literary, and cultural talents of young Claretines. For this purpose, the College holds a Talent Search Week (named ‘Resonance’) every year and forms the college CulTeam that represents the College at various inter-collegiate festivals. 

SAGA with its motto, “Healthy Body for a Healthy Mind,” aims to provide facilities for the students’ physical development and the capacity for teamwork. Facilities are offered for various sports and games activities, and SporTeams are formed to represent the College at inter-collegiate fests. 

Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) at Saint Claret College focuses on promoting social justice, environmental sustainability, and peace within the community. This initiative encourages students to engage with pressing global issues such as poverty, inequality, and climate change through education and advocacy. By organizing workshops, discussions, and community service projects, JPIC fosters a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of social and environmental challenges. The program aims to empower students to become active advocates for justice and peace, encouraging them to integrate these values into their personal and professional lives while promoting a more equitable and sustainable world.

The National Service Scheme (NSS) at Saint Claret College (Autonomous), Ziro is a vibrant platform for developing students' personality through meaningful community service. Established in accordance with the objectives of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, the NSS Unit seeks to foster social responsibility, leadership, and active citizenship by engaging students in programmes that address the needs of society and promote national development.

Guided by the motto "Not Me, But You," the NSS Unit inspires volunteers to cultivate empathy, selfless service, teamwork, and respect for human dignity. It provides students with opportunities to understand community needs, work collaboratively with local communities, and contribute towards building an inclusive, equitable, and sustainable society. Through regular activities and annual special camps, NSS volunteers develop qualities of discipline, leadership, democratic values, and a spirit of voluntary service.

The NSS Unit of SCCZ organizes a wide range of extension and outreach programmes, including village adoption, Swachh Bharat campaigns, tree plantation drives, blood donation camps, health and hygiene awareness programmes, environmental conservation initiatives, literacy campaigns, disaster preparedness activities, voter awareness programmes, road safety campaigns, gender sensitization, and community development projects. The Unit actively collaborates with government departments, local communities, educational institutions, healthcare agencies, and civil society organizations to implement socially relevant programmes.

In keeping with the Claretian mission of forming socially responsible leaders, the NSS Unit integrates community engagement with academic learning, enabling students to translate knowledge into meaningful action. Through its diverse activities, NSS at Saint Claret College nurtures compassionate, responsible, and service-oriented citizens who are committed to the ideals of nation-building, social justice, environmental stewardship, and the holistic development of society.

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) was introduced at Saint Claret College (Autonomous), Ziro in 2026 with the objective of developing disciplined, confident, and socially responsible young citizens. Functioning under the National Cadet Corps, the world's largest uniformed youth organization, the NCC at SCCZ seeks to instil the core values of unity, discipline, leadership, patriotism, character, and selfless service among students.

Guided by the NCC motto, "Unity and Discipline," the College NCC Unit provides cadets with structured training in leadership, drill, adventure activities, physical fitness, disaster management, community service, environmental conservation, and national integration. Through institutional training, camps, social service activities, and interaction with cadets from different parts of the country, students develop confidence, resilience, teamwork, and a strong sense of civic responsibility.

The NCC Unit actively encourages cadets to participate in Annual Training Camps (ATC), Combined Annual Training Camps (CATC), National Integration Camps (NIC), adventure programmes, youth exchange initiatives, and various national-level competitions organized by the NCC. Cadets also contribute to community welfare through cleanliness drives, tree plantation, blood donation campaigns, health awareness programmes, disaster response activities, and other outreach initiatives. 

As a newly established unit, the NCC at Saint Claret College is committed to providing students with opportunities for holistic personality development, leadership formation, and national service. The programme also opens avenues for career advancement through NCC certification, which is recognized for recruitment into the Armed Forces, Central Armed Police Forces, police services, and various government organizations, while fostering responsible citizenship and a lifelong commitment to serving the nation.

The Red Ribbon Club at Saint Claret College promotes awareness on HIV/AIDS, blood donation, and health-related issues. Through workshops, campaigns, and community outreach, it fosters responsibility, social involvement, and health consciousness among students. The club empowers youth to actively contribute to creating a healthier, compassionate society.

The SCCZ Literary Club, a cherished vision of the Department of English, was established on 20th November 2021, with the goal of nurturing and showcasing students' literary talents. Serving as a platform for literary exploration and growth, our club endeavours to harness creativity, promote intellectual discourse, and celebrate the rich tapestry of literature within our campus community.

CYC with the motto, “ëcce homo” = “Behold the Man”, is an association for the spiritual nourishment of the Christian Claretines, helping them become witnesses to Christ. Prayer meetings, retreats, spiritual talks, screening of spiritually uplifting movies, Bible study groups, Christmas Celebrations, leadership training-program for Christian students, etc., are some of the activities. Every Christian student, by virtue of one’s admission to SCCZ, is a member of CYC.

Motto: Nurturing Talent, Celebrating Passion

Since its inception in 2024, the SCCZ Music Club has been a vibrant platform for students to pursue their musical passions alongside their academic journey. Aligned with the institution’s core value of holistic education, the club is dedicated to fostering young talent and providing opportunities for musical growth and expression. It serves as a stage for emerging artists to showcase their abilities through a range of events such as live gigs, band performances, solo competitions, and the much-anticipated Claretine Idol. Through these initiatives, the club continues to inspire, engage, and support the next generation of musicians.

The Art Club of Saint Claret College (Autonomous), Ziro provides a creative platform for students to develop their artistic talents and express their ideas through various forms of art. The club promotes painting, sketching, craftwork, poster making, photography, digital art, and campus decoration. It organizes workshops, exhibitions, competitions, and creative activities that encourage innovation, teamwork, and appreciation of art and culture. The club also contributes to the aesthetic enhancement of the campus during academic and cultural events. Through its activities, the Art Club fosters creativity, confidence, cultural appreciation, and holistic development among students.

. Yet, poor are the skills at analysing or critiquing a film. SCCZ Film Club offers Claretines a taste for recognising and exploring the depths of the human psyche and the complexity or simplicity of human behaviour that great movies may capture so eloquently. It helps them develop film critiquing skills, recognise when art imitates life and life imitates art and its consequences, and thus become film literate with a difference.
