The Health Promotion Cell of Saint Claret College (Autonomous), Ziro is committed to fostering a healthy, safe, and supportive campus environment by promoting the physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being of students and staff. The Cell organizes regular health awareness programmes, medical camps, health screening, blood donation drives, wellness campaigns, fitness initiatives, and preventive healthcare activities in collaboration with government departments, hospitals, healthcare professionals, and voluntary organizations.
The Cell also conducts programmes on nutrition, hygiene and sanitation, stress management, substance abuse prevention, reproductive health, communicable and non-communicable diseases, and mental health awareness. Through these initiatives, it encourages students to adopt healthy lifestyles and make informed decisions regarding their overall well-being.
In addition, the Health Promotion Cell coordinates with the Counselling Centre, NSS, NCC, Red Ribbon Club, and other student bodies to implement holistic health promotion initiatives. In cases requiring specialised medical attention, the Cell facilitates timely referral to nearby hospitals and healthcare institutions.
The Health Promotion Cell serves as a proactive platform for creating a health-conscious campus community where wellness, prevention, and healthy living are integral to the Claretine way of life.
