Claretine Support Services

Beyond the classroom

SCCZ runs a network of dedicated cells and services that look after the everyday wellbeing, safety, and grievances of every Claretine — from getting to campus, to being heard, to being cared for.

🚌 Commute

Transportation

For the convenience of day-scholars, four college buses ply between Hapoli/Ziro and the SCCZ Campus on all working days of the college, at scheduled times in the morning and afternoon. Students wanting to avail of the facility must procure the Bus Pass paying the required transportation fees. They are to carry the Pass with them every time they travel and must produce the same on demand.

🎯 Career

Career Guidance Cell

To help students identify their career goals and possibilities, a Career Guidance Cell is established at SCCZ. A special reference section is earmarked in the College Library for books and resources on career guidance. The Cell also holds guest lectures and periodic aptitude and interest tests to identify students’ areas of career interest and skills. The faculty member-in-charge publicises the Cell’s activities on the bulletin board.

🛡️ Safety

Anti-Ragging Cell

As per UGC Regulations on the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions 2009, and Govt. Order No. ED/HE-301/2008/120 dtd. 22/04/2009, ragging in all its forms is totally banned in SCCZ — on campus as well as outside — wherever Claretines are present. Any act that comes under the definition of ragging invites serious censure as deemed fit by the College authority.

🩺 Wellbeing

Health Promotion Cell

SCCZ provides periodic medical consultation on campus in association with the District Hospital. A team of health professionals is made available occasionally on campus for students to discuss health-related issues and seek help. Besides onsite medical consultation, periodic seminars on health-related matters and Health Bulletins on the notice board are arranged.

💜 Care

Women’s Cell

Since 2008, Saint Claret College has had a ladies’ room for the needs of the female members of the SCCZ community. With effect from July 2012, St Claret College instituted a Women’s Cell to further care for the needs of women on campus. A faculty member is appointed in charge of the Cell.

📢 Speak up

Grievance Redressal Cell

To provide a forum for staff and students to express and inform their concerns and genuine grievances, a Grievance Redressal Cell has been constituted, with a faculty member in charge of its function. Suggestion Boxes are placed in the Library & Information Centre, the Hostels, and the Reception of Block ‘B’. Claretines with a genuine grievance may approach the faculty member in person or drop a note in the Suggestion Box — or submit it directly using the options below.

Use your institutional email ID only when filing a grievance online or by email.
The faculty-in-charge discusses the matter with the Management and works to resolve it justly.
Strict confidentiality is maintained on all grievances and complaints received.
