Saint Claret College, Ziro
Counselling Centre
Learn, lead and serve with purpose at SCCZ.
The Counselling Centre of Saint Claret College (Autonomous), Ziro is dedicated to promoting the emotional, psychological, academic, and social well-being of students. The Centre provides a safe, confidential, and supportive environment where students can seek guidance on personal, academic, emotional, behavioural, interpersonal, and career-related concerns. Through professional counselling, mentoring, and awareness programmes, the Centre strives to foster resilience, self-confidence, positive mental health, and holistic personal development.
Recognising the importance of peer support, the Counselling Centre also organizes Peer Counsellor Training Programmes, equipping selected students with basic helping skills, empathetic listening, communication techniques, and referral practices. Trained peer counsellors act as the first point of contact for fellow students, promoting a caring, inclusive, and supportive campus culture while working under the guidance of the College Counsellor.
The Centre further extends its services beyond individual counselling by conducting workshops, seminars, orientation programmes, stress management sessions, life skills education, mental health awareness campaigns, crisis intervention, and outreach programmes for students, parents, and faculty members. Whenever specialised care is required, the Centre facilitates referrals to qualified mental health professionals and healthcare institutions.
Through these initiatives, the Counselling Centre seeks to nurture emotionally healthy, socially responsible, and academically successful Claretines in an atmosphere of trust, compassion, and respect.
